“How is poststructuralism and Queer Theory going to help me understand my love life?” Doing a PhD that takes in a lot of Queer Theory can personally be a very challenging process, lots of people around me seem to find it all very liberating and empowering, but I am often left feeling that my life and my issues aren’t really being addressed; instead I feel there’s a lot of dogma and lots of new rules to obey… (sigh)
